UBUD GUIDE – MUST DO’S

Welcome to the jungle! Ubud is known for being a yoga heaven. But it’s so much more than that… We’ll give you a guide on our favourite things to do in Ubud!

Our Ubud Food Guide is coming soon!

CAMPUHAN RIDGE WALK

We recommend you to do this walk early in the morning or around sunset. There is a small street just next to the entrance of the Warwick hotel. There’s a parking where you can easily park your scooter. You hike all the way up to the top, it will only take you about 10 minutes. You’ll have this beautiful 2km path with amazing views on both sides! This is the place where two rivers meet!

MONKEY FOREST

The monkey forest is a beautiful park where you get to see hundreds of monkeys from up close. It’s really nice to just take a walk in the park and spot some monkeys. But be careful, don’t take any food or drinks into the park, they will take it right out of your bag! Also be careful with sunglasses, jewelry and thing like that. They love to take it from you!

TEGALALANG RICE TERRACES

This is probably one of the main places that made Ubud famous: the rices terraces!
Get up very early and get there right before sunrise! Because of its popularity, this beautiful place will get very crowded after 9 AM. If you’re in for a swing, there are some typical swings here!

PURA GUNUNG KAWI

This place is lesser known, but really worth the visit! It’s an archeologic site with little houses and temples, surrounded by beautiful rice terraces. Truly a magical spot!

SARASWATI TEMPLE

This temple is located right in the center of Ubud. It was really crowded when we were there around sunset, because every night there’s a dancing performance. So we recommend you to go in the morning! The temple is surrounded by water full of lotus flowers! It’s hard to believe that this place is situated right behind a busy street!

SECRET RICE FIELD WALK

One of the most beautiful walks we’ve done in Ubud… It’s not known at all! After you’ve visited the beautiful Saraswati temple, stay on the same side of the street and just walk a bit further down the road. You will see a very small path just right at the restaurant called ‘Betelnut’. At first glance, it might look like a sketchy weird street, but keep on walking and you will enter the beautiful rice fields!!

UBUD MARKET AND SHOPS

It’s also really nice to just stroll around in the centre of Ubud. There are some cute shops and there’s a beautiful market! Before 8AM you will only find fresh food at the market, but during the day, the market changes to a real shopping paradise. You will find everything from jewelry to decoration to the famous bali bag!

PS: You can easily do all of this by scooter!
